TECHNOLOGY
Greywater
Wastewater produced in buildings from kitchen, laundry, sink and bathroom altogether constitutes greywater. It contains a broad variety of soluble and insoluble materials, including personal care products, pharmaceuticals, surfactants etc.
Greywater Recycling
In order to alleviate India’s water shortage, greywater recycling is essential as it has potential to save up to 40% of water consumption. Alongside reductions to water footprints, greywater recycling can reduce carbon emissions and energy use. Reuse of appropriately treated greywater in non-potable uses like toilet flushing and gardening significantly reduces the fresh water consumption. It reduces the burden on septic tanks or public sewage systems.
Our Greywater Recycling System
We provide a simple modular solution for on-site greywater recycling. The system features combined Hydrodynamic Cavitation and Ceramic Membrane Filtration. These are superior to conventionally used biological and membrane separation processes. The synergy allows to address a wide range of contaminants, showcasing the versality of the technique.

Hydrodynamic Cavitation
Hydrodynamic cavitation is a technique used for grey water treatment that leverages the formation, growth, and collapse of microbubbles or cavities in a liquid flowing through a constriction device. The breakdown of persistent contaminants in grey water is facilitated by the localized high temperatures, pressures, shear forces, and shock waves created in system. Its advantages in terms of effectiveness and scalability make it a valuable tool in sustainable water management and reuse.
Ceramic Membrane Filtration
Ceramic membranes are characterized by their high chemical, thermal, and mechanical stability, which makes them ideal for greywater treatment. They are effective at removing bacteria, protozoa, and suspended solids from water. Additionally, we have modified the ceramic membrane by coating it with a unique material that shows higher efficiency. Integrating it with cavitation techniques enhance their performance. Ceramic membrane filtration offers a robust, durable, and effective solution for greywater recycling and reuse.
